Sea Otter Classic

Above are some of my favorite shots from this year’s Sea Otter Classic out at Laguna Seca.  Was definitely an exciting year of racing out on the track!  Had quite a range of crazy weather – everything from an unusual heat wave Friday and Saturday to thick tule fog on Sunday morning – all of which made shooting the event this year a little more interesting.  The Dual Slalom Finals Sunday morning was by far the favorite – was pretty incredible to see the racers emerging through the fog towards the finish line.  Be sure to check back for images from the Sidi America Photo Booth Project, which I will be posting shortly!

Amber & Robin: Monterey Engagement Session

Met up with Amber and Robin for a few engagement photos in and around downtown Monterey on Tuesday night.  Thankfully the weather held out for us all that evening without any rain.  Amber and Robin are planning a November wedding at Pessagno Winery.  I am just blown away by their unbelievably unique and creative ideas they have planned for the big day!  Below are a few of my favorite selections from their engagement shoot:

and of course we had to get the Bling Shot!

Road Through Death Valley

Above are some selections from my quick road trip through Death Valley two weeks ago.  The most striking aspect to visiting the park were the roadways, which seem to span for eternity.  After I began photographing, it seemed even the shape of the landscape began to mimic the roads.   There was also an eerie silence that engulfed Death Valley – never in my life have I been outside (even in a national park) and not heard birds chirping, cars driving by, water running, kids playing, etc.  Pretty incredible place and highly worth the detour.
